Challenging Market Conditions – Consumer Reservations – Continued Growth
These headlines are reflective of the overall feeling towards the Consumer Electronic industry. But how does it effect the development of the Blu-ray Disc market?
“Blu-ray Disc in Motion” is the theme for the 2009 BDA press conference taking place at IFA, Berlin.
Speakers from the retail sector, Hollywood Studios, industry analysts and the BDA itself will provide insight into the actual Blu-ray Disc market, as well as the next phase of High Definition Home Entertainment.
This year’s conference will be hosted by Philips in Hall 22, stand 101 of the Messe Berlin, starting at 17:00 on 3rd September 2009.
A drinks reception will follow the conference, giving you the opportunity to speak directly with BDA representatives present.
BDA press conference – Speaker Update
2009 offers an exciting line-up of speakers and topics that includes an update on the Blu-ray Disc market by Niels Leibbrandt, Chair of the European BDA Promotion Committee, as well as presentations by high-profile speakers from industry and retail businesses.
Speakers include Rich Marty, Vice President Business Development at Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and Benn Carr, Chair of the BDA 3D Taskforce and Vice President New Technology at Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment, who will be talking about 3D and its potential within Blu-ray Disc technology. Nicholas Denisson, Director Media at Amazon Germany and Jim Bottoms, Managing Director, Futuresource Consulting, will show the latest BD market insights.
At the post-conference press reception you will be able to talk face-to-face with all the speakers plus Victor Matsuda, Chair of the Global BDA Promotion Committee and Director Blu-ray Disc at Sony USA who is also available as a special interview partner.
